Oliver

With over 14 years of experience working in art education, Oliver has amassed a wide breadth of knowledge across a broad range of creative disciplines. In his current role, he delivers practical demonstrations of specialist painting and drawing processes and provides technical support to students across all programmes at Arts University Plymouth.

Oliver’s practice examines the physical process of painting, focusing on the application and materiality of the artwork. He explores the idea of the painting as an evolving visual dialogue, with the interaction between artist and viewer determining what is revealed and what is left concealed within the work.

Client Testimonials

We spent some time looking for someone who could produce some solid wooden frames to mount our medals in. James, listened carefully to what we wanted and made us the exact high-quality frame we needed. Since then, we re-order every couple of weeks including some complex bespoke frames. We have been working together for about 10 years and I couldn’t recommend The Framing Centre highly enough.

Artmill Gallery & Framing Centre are our go to framers for The Arts Institute, University of Plymouth. They have a particular empathy for artists requirements and always produce work to the highest quality. Many of our exhibiting artists have been so impressed with the outcome that they go on to use Artmill for all their work.
