Sylvie Bowden

Sylvie has always painted, however her time at University took her on a different creative path a career in Theatre production and then directing Television and Film.

By way of an antidote to the pressure and madness of work Sylvie started attending the Centro Verrocchio D`art in Tuscany and has managed a retreat there for the last twenty years.

She also attends the Royal Drawing School under the tuition of Andy Pankhurst (a prodigy of Euan Uglow) and exhibited at the Paolozzi Gallery in London.

Feeling the love

We spent some time looking for someone who could produce some solid wooden frames to mount our medals in. James, listened carefully to what we wanted and made us the exact high-quality frame we needed. Since then, we re-order every couple of weeks including some complex bespoke frames. We have been working together for about 10 years and I couldn’t recommend The Framing Centre highly enough.

Artmill Gallery & Framing Centre are our go to framers for The Arts Institute, University of Plymouth. They have a particular empathy for artists requirements and always produce work to the highest quality. Many of our exhibiting artists have been so impressed with the outcome that they go on to use Artmill for all their work.
